Issuance of the title and certificate of "Labor Veteran"

Title and certificate of a labor veteran According to the Regulations approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated September 22, 1995 No. 216 "On the procedure and conditions of awarding the titles of war veteran, armed forces and labor veteran" awarded to citizens who have been engaged in public work for many years (men with more than 40 years, women with more than 30 years of work experience).

Who is given the title and certificate of "Labor veteran"?

The title of Labor Veteran and the corresponding veteran’s card are granted to persons entitled to an old-age pension who meet the following criteria:

1. In all sectors of the economy – individuals awarded honorary titles of the former USSR and former Soviet republics for special services in the fields of production, science, culture, education, healthcare, and other labor activities;
2. Recipients of Honorary Decrees of the Supreme Soviets of the former Soviet republics;
3. Holders of the following high state awards: Hero of Socialist Labor, Order of Lenin, Order of the October Revolution, Order of the Red Banner of Labor, Order of Friendship of Peoples, Order of the Badge of Honor, Order of Honor, Order of Labor Glory (I, II, and III degrees), the “Labor Veteran” medal, the “For Courage in Labor” medal, and the “For Distinction in Labor” medal;
4. Individuals who were awarded orders and medals for their devoted labor on the home front during the Great Patriotic War;  
5. Individuals awarded honorary titles of the Republic of Azerbaijan or state awards (orders and medals) for labor achievements;
6. Persons who have engaged in public work for many years, with a minimum of 40 years of work experience for men or 30 years of work experience for women.

Apply

1. A person wishing to receive the title of "Labor Veteran" shall submit an application to their place of work, accompanied by supporting documents required for the award of this title.
• If the applicant is not currently employed, the application shall be submitted to their last place of employment.
2. The application and all necessary documents shall be forwarded to the commissions established within the relevant executive bodies for review. The decision shall be made on the basis of the commission’s opinion.
3. In cases where:
• The enterprise has been liquidated;
• The place of work was a non-state enterprise;
• Or in other applicable situations;
  The title and certificate of "Labor Veteran" shall be issued directly by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Description of the certificate

The certificate of "Labor Veteran" consists of a cover measuring 7 cm x 19.5 cm. The cover is green in color, bearing at the top a graphic depiction of the State Emblem of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Below the emblem, the words "Labor Veteran of the Republic of Azerbaijan" are inscribed in gold lettering.
