Next meeting regarding the advocacy of the rights of people with disabilities

Another meeting has been held at the DOST Agency as part of the state monitoring of the rights of people with disabilities. The event was attended by members of the State Monitoring Commission on the Rights of People with Disabilities, as well as representatives of non-governmental organizations.

The meeting included discussions on the topic “Opportunities and Services Created in the Health and Medical Sector”. Participants addressed issues such as the prevention of disability, rehabilitation of individuals with disabilities, and the emergence of disabilities due to genetic disorders. Ensuring accessibility and reasonable accommodations in medical facilities for people with disabilities was also a key topic of discussion. Additionally, the meeting covered medical insurance for people with disabilities, preventive measures to avert conditions that could lead to disabilities, and other related areas.

Participants shared their opinions and suggestions regarding the discussed issues.
