A session has been held focusing on the protection of the rights of people with disabilities

At the DOST Agency, a significant meeting was convened as part of the government monitoring of the rights of individuals with disabilities. The event brought together members of the State Monitoring Commission on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, along with representatives from various government institutions and non-governmental organizations.

During the meeting, information was presented on the activities of the Commission and the work accomplished. Subsequently, discussions were held on the topic of 'Reasonable Adaptation Conditions for Living Spaces and Surrounding Infrastructure.' Participants exchanged views on the accessibility of public transportation for individuals with disabilities, ensuring that pedestrian crossings meet international standards, and the application of universal design principles.

The opinions and suggestions of the experts were heard by the Commission members, and appropriate notes were taken.
