DOST Agency has been included in the list of finalists in two nominations at the European Social Services Awards - 2021. The nominations are "Technology Tools" and "Outstanding team". These nominations are about the application of an innovative approach in the provision of social services. The competition is organized by the European Social Network (ESN).
Recently, the DOST Agency has been actively participating in various events and discussions as a member of the board of the ESN. DOST Agency's election to the ESN as a member of the board, active participation and presentations of the network in various events and discussions create conditions for better promotion of DOST concept on the European social platform, as well as more information on social reforms in Azerbaijan.
The nomination of “Technology Tools” reflects an innovative approach to improving the well-being of the population, increasing public care for vulnerable groups, and providing social services to achieve citizen satisfaction. The flexible model has been successfully adapted to the requirements of the pandemic regime. The DOST model aims to fully digitilize social support measures for citizens, automate processes and reduce the human factor. This will eliminate the need for the Government to be physically involved in the use of G2C services in the near future. The roadmap for this model envisages the full integration of social protection services into the State e-Government concept and ensuring the availability of automated social services.
DOST Agency takes part in the "Outstanding tema" nomination with the "DOST Volunteer" program. DOST volunteers actively participate in the promotion of the state's social security policy and play the mediator role inside and outside the Agency. The “DOST Volunteer” program performs daily operations in DOST centers, as well as participates in external communication. DOST Volunteers play a key role in disseminating innovative solutions provided by the Agency in the social sphere. They are actively involved in the promotion of new approaches in social services.
The final event will take place in December in Brussels, Belgium. Farid Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of DOST Agency, will make a presentation on recent DOST activities at the meeting as a board member of the European Social Network, as well as at the final event "European Social Services Award - 2021".
The main goal of the European Social Services Award is to identify and promote best practices in social services to encourage peers to work with each other and to promote innovation in social services in Europe.
