The delegation led by the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Sahil Babayev, who is on a visit to Uzbekistan, laid flowers at the monument to the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev Square in Tashkent and paid tribute to his memory.
A meeting took place between Sahil Babayev and the Director of the National Social Protection Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Mansurbek Olloerov. The minister emphasized that, as a result of the joint efforts of the heads of state of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, long-term relations between the two countries have developed and reached the level of strategic partnership.
The importance of the documents signed between our countries in the past period was noted. In particular, in the dynamic development of the strategic partnership, the special significance of the “Agreement on the establishment of the Supreme Interstate Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Uzbekistan”, signed by Presidents Ilham Aliyev and Shavkat Mirziyoyev in August 2023, was brought to attention.
It was noted that the construction of a secondary school, on the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, in the liberated city of Fuzuli, is another manifestation of the friendship and brotherhood of the two countries
The Azerbaijani delegation got acquainted with the experience of social enterprises created for vulnerable groups of the population in Uzbekistan.
