The rights of the families of martyrs

The following guarantees are provided to the members of the family who received the status of the martyr's family in accordance with the legislation:

Provision of labor pension for the loss of the head of the family is regulated in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Labor Pensions";

Provision of the pension of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan (regulated by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 493 of December 19, 2006 on the establishment of the "Pension of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the family of a martyr");

In the event of the death of one of the parents, each of their children is entitled to a monthly benefit in the amount determined by the relevant executive authority until the age of 16 (18 for students);

When the number of employees or staff is reduced, they are given priority in retaining employment;

Benefits are paid for the use of housing, utilities, telephone (except for long-distance and international calls) and all types of urban passenger transport (except taxis) in the manner and amount established by the relevant executive authority;

Benefits are provided for the purchase of prescription drugs in the manner and amount determined by the relevant executive authority;

Those who study on a paid basis in state universities,  secondary and vocational educational institutions are exempted from paying tuition fees;

Are provided with sanatorium-resort treatment within the territory of the country by medical institutions in accordance with the procedure established by the relevant executive authority;

Preference in the involvement in the self-employment program, the creation of small businesses by providing them with goods, materials and equipment in the production, service and agricultural sectors;

Preference is given to the involvement of employees in the program of financing part of the salary in social workplaces and vocational courses organized by the State Employment Agency and "DOST" centers;

Provision of the martyr's family with living space is carried out by the local executive authorities in accordance with the legislation in force in accordance with the legislation in force.
