Assignment of targeted state social assistance

Social assistance is granted for a period of 1 (one) year from the 1st of the month in which the application is made.

A low-income family has the right to reapply for social assistance.

Applications for receiving social assistance are examined by VEMTAS within 15 (fifteen) working days, and a corresponding decision is issued on the appointment or refusal of the appointment of social assistance.

On the day of receiving the application for receiving social assistance, the social assistance worker of the structural units of the State Social Protection Fund or "DOST" centers under the Ministry selected by VEMTAS shall receive the "Addressed state" approved by Resolution No. 37 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated February 5, 2016 applying for receiving social assistance, its appointment, giving and refusing to give it, except for the cases specified in paragraph 3.7 of the Rules, an order is sent to conduct an examination of the financial conditions of the family.

The relevant structural unit or "DOST" center performs the "Examination of the financial conditions of the family" through special equipment equipped with appropriate software and transmits the results to VEMTAS in real time, confirming them with an enhanced electronic signature. By means of special software, VEMTAS checks that information by comparing it with the information contained in the "Application-Declaration".

In cases where there are no inconsistencies in the data, VEMTAS makes a decision to assign social assistance to the family, and in cases where inconsistencies are found, to refuse to assign social assistance.

In cases where VEMTAS issued a decision on the appointment of social assistance, the amount and duration of the appointment of social assistance, and in cases where a decision was issued to refuse the appointment, indicating the reasons for the refusal, information is sent to one of the means of feedback specified by the Representative in the "Application-Declaration" on the day of the decision.
