Social service and rehabilitation facilities will also be established in our liberated territories

Under the leadership of President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, large-scale construction and improvement, as well as the establishment of social services and rehabilitation facilities will be provided in the territories liberated by our victorious Army.

It should be noted that as one of the achievements of the President's social development strategy, Azerbaijan is working to rebuild rehabilitation infrastructure in accordance with modern requirements, as well as expand the network of rehabilitation facilities in the regions, increase rehabilitation opportunities. Rehabilitation facilities in Baku, Yevlakh, Naftalan, Lankaran, Khachmaz, Sheki, Shirvan were put into operation after major overhaul and reconstruction in 2019 and last year. Sumgayit and Shagan Rehabilitation Institutions will be opened by the end of this year. As part of the expansion of the network of rehabilitation centers for children, children's rehabilitation institutions will be launched in Shamkir and Gabala this year.

It is planned to establish new rehabilitation facilities in the liberated territories so that people with disabilities and children with disabilities have access to rehabilitation treatment. The enterprises to be built in a short time will be equipped with modern equipment. Efficient use of local natural healing resources of the region will be taken into account in the formation of rehabilitation procedures.

The expansion of the network of social service centers will also cover our liberated territories. In addition to providing social services in the homes of lonely elderly and disabled people in these regions, inpatient and semi-stationary social service institutions will also be established. At the same time, on the basis of state social orders, the establishment of centers providing day care and community-based rehabilitation services in these areas will be provided.
