DOST Agency held a training on International Girls' Day in ICT. More than 30 female representatives of the DOST Volunteer program participated in the training initiated by the DOST Digital Innovation Center. The aim is to attract young female volunteers to the field of information and communication technologies (ICT), to stimulate their activities in this field.
The training involved professional female specialists working at DOST Agency and DOST RIM. They made presentations about the activities of the structural units they work in, as well as the role of women in ICT and personal success stories. The training noted that gender equality in ICT is one of the key factors in expanding women's rights and opportunities.
The one-day training, which was of great interest to the participants, ended with a question and answer session.
It should be noted that in the International ICT, established by the International Telecommunication Union, Girls' Day is celebrated every year on the fourth day of the fourth week of April.
