DOST Centers were assessed as advanced reform in EU Business Climate Report Azerbaijan 2021

DOST Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population has achieved another international success. In the publication of the EU Business Climate Report Azerbaijan 2021 on the achievements of the European Union (EU) on economic cooperation and the development of the business environment in Azerbaijan, DOST centers were assessed as one of the improved reforms implemented in the country.

The EU Business Climate Report Azerbaijan 2021 provides an independent assessment of the current business climate in Azerbaijan and identifies trends. The results of this year's survey, conducted with the participation of experienced experts, are based on a survey of 139 online responses and 27 interviews from 24 European countries operating in Azerbaijan.

The report emphasises political and social stability in Azerbaijan as a key factor assessed by partners. In addition, the publication cites ethics business discipline, anti-corruption measures and the quality of VET as the most improved factors.

Among the social reforms, the activity of DOST centers was especially appreciated by investors. According to the publication, two more DOST centers was opened in 2021, and 17 DOST centers will be launched in the country by 2025.

In addition, DOST's participation in various programs in cooperation with the United Nations Population Fund, the United Nations Development Program, the International Labor Organization and other international organizations is noted. In particular, it was noted that the European Social Network was awarded the European Social Services Award in April 2022 as an international confirmation of the effectiveness of the Agency's activities.

It should be noted that this year alone, DOST Agency has been awarded 5 international prizes by the following international organizations - the European Social Network, the International Association of Pension and Social Funds and the International Social Security Association.

Today, DOST is the only non-EU state body of the Council of the European Social Network, as well as the only CIS representative that is an active participant in the network's events and discussions.

These successes once again confirm that the achievements of President Ilham Aliyev's social reform program, including the DOST concept, are highly valued at the international level. The DOST concept, initiated by First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva, is one of the important social achievements of our country and has allowed 154 public social services to be provided through a "single window", in an efficient, transparent and citizen-friendly manner.
