On February 22, the next meeting of the Labor Relations Regulation and Coordination Commission, established by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev dated March 17, 2017, was held.
At the meeting, the work done during 2022, the achieved results and the upcoming tasks were discussed within the framework of the "Measure Plan for the Prevention of Informal Employment in the Republic of Azerbaijan" approved by the Decree of the Head of State dated October 9, 2017.
Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Commission for Regulation and Coordination of Labor Relations Ali Ahmadov gave detailed information about the work done last year and the achievements achieved in the field of prevention of informal employment. During the activity of the commission, as a result of the measures taken to legalize labor relations, the number of labor contract notices increased by 37 percent.
At the meeting, Anar Aliyev, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Head of the Working Group on Legislation and Management of the Commission, Deputy Head of the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy, Ilkin Valiyev, Head of the Working Group on Investigating the Causes of Income Concealment Resulting from Informal Employment, and Digital Development and the reports of Deputy Minister of Transport Rahman Hummetov were heard.
During the discussions, the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Sahil Babayev, Chairman of the State Statistics Committee Tahir Budagov, Chairman of the State Agency for Service to Citizens and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ulvi Mehtiyev, Deputy Minister of Economy Sahib Alakbarov and others spoke about the discussed issues.
The draft of the report to be submitted to the head of state regarding the implementation of the "Measure Plan for the Prevention of Informal Employment in the Republic of Azerbaijan" was discussed and accepted.
