A seminar on the promotion of the "DOST Volunteer" program was held at the National Aviation Academy. At the seminar, Solmaz Hasanova, head of the Section of Work with Volunteers of the DOST Agency, gave information about the "DOST Volunteer" program. She said that during the organization of the work of "DOST" centers, volunteers participate in welcoming citizens and directing them to service windows, managing the flow of citizens, queues, inform them and familiarize them with the list of documents on the service. Also, various questionnaires, forms, etc. filling out documents, providing special attention and care to the disabled, conducting opinion polls and many other tasks have an undeniable service of volunteers. Thanks to this activity, young people both increase their work experience and acquire the ability to work with a particularly vulnerable segment of the population.
The purpose of the "DOST Volunteer" program is to organize public participation, support the volunteer movement, support youth policy, develop state-citizen relations, provide quality service, prepare young people for the labor market, and ensure active aging. The program contains the principles of statehood and patriotism, public-social responsibility, unity and cooperation, care and helpfulness. Solmaz Hasanova noted that a special certificate is given to each of the young people who successfully completed their volunteer activities.
At the end, the students' questions were answered.
