The Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Turkiye, Lutfihak Alpkan, visited the DOST Center

Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey in the field of labor and social protection, as in all other areas, is continuously expanding. This idea was emphasized during the meeting held at the  Baku DOST Center 1 with the delegation led by Lutfihak Alpkan, the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Turkiye, who is in our country to attend the COP29 event.

The delegation was introduced to the services provided to the public at the Center. The guests were informed about the innovative advantages of the DOST Concept and its international achievements.

In the meeting, Anar Aliyev, the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection, emphasized that as a result of the joint efforts of the presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkiye, the relations between our brotherly countries have reached the level of alliance. It was also noted that the cooperation in the field of labor and social protection is part of the successful ongoing relations within regional and international organizations.

During the past period, 8 documents were signed to expand cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey in the field of labor and social protection. Bilateral relations in this area have been steadily growing, with active exchanges of experience taking place.

The discussions held within the framework of the COP29 event in Baku, with the participation of high-ranking officials from various countries and international organizations, on green jobs and skills development for a just transition to a green economy, were also highlighted.

The ongoing reforms in Azerbaijan’s labor, employment, and social protection sectors were discussed. Lutfihak Alpkan expressed his satisfaction with the continued success of the strong ties between the two countries in the social sector.

The meeting also included a lively discussion on future cooperation in labor and social protection.
