A meeting on the protection of the rights of persons with disabilities has been held

An expanded meeting of the State Monitoring Commission on the rights of persons with disabilities was held. The event, conducted in an online format, was opened with an introductory speech by the Chair of the Commission, Chairman of the Board of DOST Agentliyi, Farid Mammadov, who announced the agenda of the meeting and provided information on the issues ahead.

During the event, a presentation was delivered on the work carried out by the Commission in 2025. After the report was presented, information was provided on the action plan scheduled for 2026.

New organizations included in the composition of the Commission were introduced during the meeting.

Current issues and upcoming tasks were also discussed. During the discussions, the opinions and proposals of the members were taken into account, and relevant instructions regarding future tasks were given by the Chair, Farid Mammadov.

It should be noted that the Rules on the Implementation of State Monitoring in the Field of Rights of Persons with Disabilities were approved by Decision No. 400 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 9 September 2019. According to this decision, the implementation of monitoring was assigned to the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population. Accordingly, a Monitoring Commission consisting of representatives of subordinate bodies of the ministry was established.
