Event held on the occasion of International Girls in ICT day

An event dedicated to International Girls in ICT Day was organized by the “Könüllü DOST” program of DOST Agentliyi.

The main purpose of the event, held at the DOST Digital Innovations Center, was to encourage girls’ participation in the field of information and communication technologies, support the development of their digital skills, and introduce existing career opportunities in this field.

As part of the program, participants of the “Könüllü DOST” program first became acquainted with the activities and administrative building of the DOST Digital Innovations Center. Afterwards, participants listened to presentations by professionals working in the field of information technology. The speakers shared their experiences regarding opportunities in the ICT sector, professional development paths, and the essential skills required to build a successful career in this field.

The event continued in an interactive format. A Q&A session, a networking break, and a mini digital-themed challenge were organized for the participants. The practical tasks contributed to the development of young people’s analytical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

During the motivational part of the event, female employees who had participated in the “Digi DOST” subprogram and are currently working at the DOST Digital Innovations Center were presented with gifts. At the end of the event, all volunteers participating in the event received commemorative gifts.

It should be noted that such events play an important role in increasing young people’s — especially girls’ — interest in digital technologies, developing their ICT-related knowledge and skills, and encouraging them to pursue technology-oriented career paths in the future.
