
Another meeting was held at the DOST Agency within the framework of implementing state monitoring in the field of the rights of persons with disabilities. Alongside members of the State Monitoring Commission on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, representatives of non-governmental organizations and public activists also participated in the event.
Chairman of the Board of the DOST Agency Farid Mammadov spoke about the measures carried out by the state in the field of protecting the rights of persons with disabilities, as well as the goals and objectives of organizing state monitoring in this area.
During the meeting, information was presented on the Commission’s results and activities carried out in 2025. Participants were also informed about the monitoring objectives for 2026, upcoming tasks, and other related issues.
Discussions were held on a number of current issues during the event. The opinions and proposals of the Commission members were taken into consideration, and relevant instructions were given by the Chairman of the Commission, Farid Mammadov.
It should be recalled that the “Rules for the Implementation of State Monitoring in the Field of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities” were approved by Resolution No. 400 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 9 September 2019. According to the Resolution, the implementation of the monitoring was assigned to the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population. Accordingly, a Monitoring Commission consisting of employees of the Ministry’s structural entities was established.
