Event dedicated to the DOST model held within the Annual Meetings of the Islamic Development Bank Group

An event titled “The DOST Model in Building an Inclusive Society: Innovative Social Services for Sustainable Development” was held in Baku as part of the 51st Annual Meetings of the Islamic Development Bank Group.

The event, organized by the DOST Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population, brought together representatives of local and international organizations, experts, and other stakeholders. Discussions focused on the large-scale reforms implemented in Azerbaijan’s social protection system, the evolution of citizen-centered service delivery, and efforts to expand inclusive social services.

Opening the event, Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population Hidayat Abdullayev highlighted the reforms carried out in recent years to develop and modernize the country’s social protection system and improve the accessibility of social services. He noted that the DOST model is one of the key achievements of these reforms and also emphasized the extensive application of digital technologies in the social sector.

Chairman of the Board of the DOST Agency Farid Mammadov stated that the DOST model is a unique service platform built on high levels of citizen satisfaction. He stressed its significant role in ensuring faster, more transparent and higher-quality social service delivery, as well as in elevating state-citizen relations to a new level.

Ahmed Faruk Diken, Manager for Women and Youth Empowerment at the Islamic Development Bank Group, emphasized the global importance of strengthening institutional cooperation and implementing innovative social solutions to achieve inclusive development.

Director of Baku DOST Center 1, Ruslan Mirzaliyev, delivered a presentation titled “Developing Integrated and Data-Driven Social Protection Systems: The DOST Model and the Center of Excellence for Service and Innovation.”

The event continued with extensive presentations and exchange of experience on the DOST concept, the full digitalization of social services, inclusive employment, and social innovation projects.
