Minister Anar Aliyev receives citizens in Salyan

Family businesses established under the self-employment program were also visited in Salyan.

Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population Anar Aliyev held a reception for residents of the Salyan and Neftchala districts in Salyan.

Prior to the reception, Anar Aliyev and Deputy Head of the Salyan District Executive Authority Rashad Jabrayilov visited the monument of National Leader Heydar Aliyev.

During the reception, citizens raised issues related to employment, disability assessment, housing provision, targeted social assistance and other social protection matters. Among the applicants were family members of martyrs and war veterans. Each appeal was reviewed individually and appropriate measures were taken in accordance with its nature.

Explanations were provided on inquiries in line with the relevant legislation. Citizens were also registered for participation in active labour market programs, including the self-employment program, based on their applications.

Following the reception, visits were made to small family businesses established under the self-employment program for Salyan residents Sehraya Hajiyeva and Sakit Mammadov.

Through the provision of assets under the self-employment program, a women’s beauty salon was established for S. Hajiyeva, while a photo studio business was created for S. Mammadov. Both beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for the support provided in enabling unemployed and job-seeking individuals to start their own small businesses.

Over the past period, small family businesses have been established for 1,500 people in the Salyan district under the self-employment program.
