More than 4,400 People Received In-Home Social Services in January–June

Social Performance Indicators for the First Half of the Year

During the first half of this year, the Social Services Agency and the Agency for Sustainable and Operational Social Provision (DOST), operating under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan, provided in-home mobile social services to 4,409 people.

4,075 were elderly people living alone, while 334 were persons with disabilities.

Social workers provided assistance with daily care and household needs, meal preparation, personal hygiene, shopping, and resolving utility-related issues.

The service is available to elderly people living alone and persons with disabilities living alone who require social services and do not reside within the same administrative territorial unit (in Baku) or the same administrative territorial district (in other cities and districts) as their able-bodied relatives or legal representatives.
