Around 300 citizens have already benefited from the services of the newly opened Nakhchivan Regional DOST Center during its first days of operation.
Citizens mainly applied for services related to pensions and social benefits, social services, participation in active employment programs, disability, and other matters. In line with the DOST concept, citizens are provided with services across various social areas based on the “one-stop shop” principle, in a modern, transparent and efficient manner.
The Center, which was inaugurated on August 11 with the participation of President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, also provides, alongside other social services, medical and social assessment services for persons with disabilities, as well as the processing of referrals for rehabilitation services and aids.
The Center provides 164 types of social services under one roof and employs 117 staff members and 50 volunteers. An average of 500–600 citizens are expected to be served at the Center each day.
As with other DOST centers, the Nakhchivan Regional DOST Center provides services to citizens without restrictions based on their place of registration. This once again confirms that the Center serves as a convenient, accessible and efficient point of social services for every citizen, regardless of their place of registration.
In the near future, DOST reception offices will also be established in all districts of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
