In January–July of this year, the “Volunteer DOST” programme received 23,000 applications, and 881 people joined the programme.
Playing an important role in expanding the volunteer movement in Azerbaijan, the programme operates through subprogrammes such as “Young DOST”, “Silver DOST” (for older people), “Remote DOST”, “Corporate DOST”, “Inclusive DOST”, “DigiDOST” and “TeleDOST”.
Volunteers assist at DOST centers by welcoming citizens, directing them to service windows, managing citizen flow and queues, providing information, assisting with the use of e-systems, and performing other related tasks.
They contribute to the delivery of public social services based on the “one-stop shop” principle and with a focus on citizen satisfaction.
The programme helps participants gain experience and professional skills in citizen service, supports their personal development, and contributes to their first successful steps towards building a career.
