In May, more than 2.3 million people were paid pensions, benefits, pensions and targeted social assistance

The State Social Protection Fund under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population paid social security benefits to more than 2.3 million people in May.

Of these, 1,268,000 people received pensions, 417,000 people received benefits and 297,000 people received presidential grants. 350,000 family members from 83,000 families received targeted social assistance.

The number of people receiving social benefits in May was 6.8 percent or 148,000 more than in May last year.

Last month, a total of 474 million manats was allocated to finance pensions, benefits and targeted social assistance, which is 24.8 percent or 94 million manat more than in 2019.
