“Health Week” Initiative launched at the DOST Agency

The DOST Agency has launched the “Health Week” initiative to support employees’ health and well-being and promote a healthy lifestyle.

Taking place from October 12 to 16, the initiative aims to raise employees’ health awareness, encourage preventive practices, and make health-oriented activities part of the workplace environment. It approaches health not only as an individual responsibility but also as an important element of a healthy workplace and a strong organizational culture. Throughout the week, awareness sessions and practical activities covering various aspects of health will be organized.

The first day of “Health Week” is dedicated to eye health. An awareness session held in collaboration with Batı Göz Clinic focused on protecting eye health and the importance of preventive eye examinations. Eye examinations for employees are also planned.

The five-day program will feature awareness sessions and activities on topics including healthy eating, the Pink Ribbon initiative, first aid, stress and metabolic syndrome, healthy thinking, and hidden hypertension among young people (high blood pressure). The initiative promotes a comprehensive approach to health and aims to increase attention to both the physical and psychological well-being of employees.

One of the highlights of the week is the mini-challenge titled “5 Days. 5 Healthy Habits. A Healthier DOST!” It encourages employees to make time for daily physical activity, drink enough water, eat healthily, take regular breaks from screens to rest their eyes, and take short well-being breaks throughout the day.

The initiative’s core message is simple: adopting a healthy lifestyle does not require major changes. Sometimes, small steps taken every day can be the beginning of lasting positive change.

“Health Week” aims to strengthen the DOST Agency’s commitment to employee well-being and contribute to creating a healthier working environment.
