The experience of the DOST Agency was heard at the annual conference of the European Social Network

Chairman of the Board of the Agency for Sustainable and Operational Social Provision (DOST) Farid Mammadov attended the international conference organized by the European Social Network (ESN). Mammadov attended the event as a member of the Council and addressed the plenary session as a speaker. The conference is dedicated to discussions on the development of the future of social services on a new level.

During the discussions, the problems faced by DOST Agency during the COVID-19 pandemic, flexible decisions made and implemented by the MLSPP and the Agency on the provision of social services, remote, including mobile and electronic services, as well as new forms of services were widely publicized. The innovative and progressive implementation of a number of effective projects and approaches implemented by DOST Agency - Volunteerism, Mobile Services, Rapid Management Processes, was especially noted by the members of ESN.

The conference participants were interested in the experience of DOST Agency, as well as its achievements. Advice was received on many issues to study the successful experience of the Agency.

The proposals of the DOST Agency, in particular, the experience of full digitalization of services, secure government and agile governance, attracted attention and were included in the agenda of the next conference. While discussing these issues, it was noted that despite the fact that Azerbaijan is not a member of the European Union (EU), it is important to study the experience of our country in improving social services in the EU.

It should be noted that participation in the conference is a continuation of the cooperation of DOST Agency with ESN. Thus, in October 2020, DOST Agency participated in the ESSA (European Social Services Award) competition initiated by ESN in the category "Technology tools that support social services" in the category "Life with rights and dignity: more than life" ("Legal and dignified life"). : more than life ”) and was included in the list of finalists. ESN appreciated this potential and offered DOST to join the network.

It should be noted that DOST Agency was admitted to the European Social Network in January 2021 as a member of the Council, taking into account the pace of development, accumulated best practices, exchange of experience with foreign countries and development trends.
