Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population Sahil Babayev received citizens in Hajigabul region.
Prior to the reception, S. Babayev and the head of Hajigabul District Executive Power Rustam Khalilov laid flowers at the monument to the national leader Heydar Aliyev and honored his memory.
During the meeting, according to the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev, S.Babayev briefed about the reforms carried out in the field of social protection and the works implemented in direction of expanding active social protection and employment programs, establishing of new DOST centers, rehabilitation facilities, improving the social security system on the basis of innovation.
Moreover, the minister drawn to attention appropriate work are being conducted to improve access of social projects, including targeted social assistance programs for low-income families, more complete provision of the targeted principle.
The appeals of citizens were about employment, involvement in self-employment programs and vocational training, assessment of disability, rehabilitation, social security, protection of labour rights and etc.
The appropriate measures have been taken regarding each appeal with the participation of heads of departments of the Ministry. A number of persons got job offerings.
Thus, it was decided to conduct appropriate measures for involving certain citizens in self-employment programs, vocational training and social services. Assessment of disability, social security and other issues stated in the appeals were recorded for investigation.
S.Babayev met with participants of the self-employment program, reviewed small businesses created for them within the program (greenhouse, door-window workshop, sweets shop, etc.). Program attendees expressed their gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for the support to have access to small businesses.
In the last year, within the program necessary goods and materials were given to 133 low-income families and small facilities were established for them by the State Employment Service in Hajigabul. Moreover, up to 1000 people were provided with appropriate work by the State Employment Service, within “DOST of unemployed” program 350 unemployed and job seekers were involved in paid public works last year.
Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population Anar Karimov received citizens in Saatli and Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population Vusal Nasirli in Shirvan.
