A document on cooperation in the field of labor, employment and social protection was signed with Pakistan

A meeting was held at the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Azerbaijan Bilal Hayi.

Emphasizing the high level of relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, Minister of Labor and Social Protection Sahil Babayev said that the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Pakistan paid special attention to the development of relations between the two countries. He stressed the important role of mutual visits and signed documents in the development of cooperation.

He stressed that Pakistan's constant political and moral support to Azerbaijan in resolving the issue of ensuring the territorial integrity of our country is highly valued by our people, and expressed gratitude for this support.

Babayev said the two countries have great potential for expanding cooperation in many areas, including labor, employment and social protection.

Giving information about the social reforms carried out in our country, the DOST concept, the Minister stressed that the development of bilateral cooperation in the social sphere will be mutually beneficial.

Noting that Azerbaijan is a friendly and brotherly country for Pakistan, Hayi said he was pleased with the constant expansion of cooperation between the two countries. He expressed confidence that these relations will expand from year to year in the social sphere.

During the meeting, S.Babayev and B.Hayi signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Labor and Human Resources Development of Pakistan living abroad.

It was noted that the document will play an important role in the development of relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan in the field of labor, employment and social protection.

The memorandum stipulates that the two ministries will improve legislation in the field of labor, employment and social protection, monitor compliance with labor legislation, labor protection, expand employment opportunities for vulnerable groups, provide vocational training for the unemployed and job seekers, develop and apply occupational standards, monitor labor migrants' rights. It is planned to implement cooperation in other areas.
