The International Social Security Association highly evaluates social reform experience of Azerbaijan

The reforms carried out in the social sphere, including the social security system, in recent years in Azerbaijan have had successful results, and the International Social Security Association (ISSA) highly appreciates Azerbaijan's experience of social reforms.

The President of ISSA, who is on a visit to our country, Mohammad Azman, emphasized this in a meeting held with him at the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.

The Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Sahil Babayev congratulated M. Azman on the occasion of his election as the president of ISSA and wished him success. The minister noted the contributions of ISSA to the improvement of social security systems at the global level.

The social reforms carried out in Azerbaijan in recent years, serious increases in social payments, electronicization of services and successes achieved in the direction of establishing proactive appointment mechanisms were brought to attention.

It was reported that the reforms carried out are highly appreciated at the international level. This year, the institutions of the Ministry were awarded with 11 international awards. In addition, DOST Agency and the State Social Protection Fund (SSPF) were awarded 4 awards by ISSA and three Certificates of Excellence at the World Social Security Forum (Morocco) held these days. The Foundation was also awarded the "2022 International Public Institution of the Year" (Great Britain) award. 12 international ISO certificates were also presented to the institutions of the Ministry in 2021-2022.

In June 2019, the European Forum of ISSA was held in Baku. Within the framework of the forum, the projects presented by the Ministry were evaluated positively and received special awards.
