Ilham Aliyev participated in the opening of DOST Center No. 5 in Baku

On December 28, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev participated in the opening of the DOST Center No. 5 of the Sustainable and Operative Social Provision Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, located in the Khatai district of Baku.

Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Sahil Babayev informed the president about the conditions created in the center.

It was reported that the total area of the four-story center, located at 31 Mehdi Mehdizade Street, Khatai District, Baku City, is 4,405 square meters. The center is designed in a modern and constructive style and meets the highest requirements in terms of engineering systems.

About 120 employees will work in the center and 50 people will work as volunteers under the "DOST Volunteer" program. It is planned to provide services to 650-700 citizens in the center during a day.

It should be noted that the DOST concept, which determines the beginning of a qualitatively new stage in the field of social services and causes significant changes in the direction of ensuring transparency, efficiency and citizen satisfaction, is an important component of the institutional-structural reforms implemented in our country.

DOST Agency, established by the Decree of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated August 9, 2018, today provides 154 services in 12 directions in the fields of employment, labor, disability and social protection. More than 1,250,000 people have been served in the DOST centers that have been put into use so far. Citizens' level of satisfaction with services is 98.2 percent.

The management philosophy of the President of Azerbaijan is primarily based on the social state strategy. Even in the post-war period, measures implemented in the social field, including through DOST centers, demonstrate the state's pro-social policy.

At the same time, according to the order of President Ilham Aliyev, from December 2020, people with war-related disabilities have been provided with high-tech modern prostheses. In the past period, 379 people were provided with 394 high-tech modern 4th generation prostheses.

In the informed DOST Inclusive Development and Creativity Center, opportunities have been created for the development of the skills and creative potential of members of martyrs' families, war disabled and their children, children who have lost their parents and are deprived of parental care, and talented people from low-income families.

Thus, the next DOST Center to be put into use will create conditions for the expansion of the geography of quality service by covering a larger area and more population in the field of social services.
