Development directions of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Hungary were discussed

The Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, who is on a visit to Hungary, the co-chairman of the Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Governments of Azerbaijan and Hungary, Sahil Babayev, met with the Director General of the Office of the President of Hungary, Tamas Shanda, and the Minister of Economic Development of Hungary, Marton Nagy.

During the meetings, it was emphasized that relations between Azerbaijan and Hungary are constantly developing on the basis of friendly relations and strategic partnership, and cooperation is expanding in all fields.

It was noted that 57 cooperation documents were signed between Azerbaijan and Hungary in the past period, the growth rate in the direction of trade and economic cooperation continued, and the trade turnover of the two countries increased by 34.8 percent last year. It was stated that there is great potential for further expansion of cooperation in new directions.

Satisfaction was expressed that Hungarian companies are interested in participating in the restoration of our territories freed from occupation, and that the state financial institutions of Hungary have allocated a credit line for this purpose.

The activity of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission, which serves to expand the cooperation of the two countries in various fields, was mentioned, and confidence was expressed that the relations between Azerbaijan and Hungary will continue to develop on an upward line.

The importance of business forums and business meetings organized in Baku and Budapest was brought to attention. Energy, green energy development and transmission, agriculture, labor and employment, social protection, education, humanitarian, etc. discussions were held on the expansion of cooperation in the fields, the increase of bilateral and transit cargo flows, and the promotion of mutual investments.
