A meeting of the Joint Commission between the Governments of Azerbaijan and Hungary was held in Budapest

The 9th meeting of the Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Governments of Azerbaijan and Hungary was held in Budapest, the capital of Hungary.

Before the meeting, the co-chairman of the Commission from the Azerbaijani side, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, Sahil Babayev, and the co-chairman of the Commission from the Hungarian side, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Peter Siyarto, had a meeting. The co-chairs reviewed the future directions of bilateral cooperation, the agenda of the Commission meeting.

At the meeting held with the participation of a large number of delegations, S. Babayev said that as a result of the political will and efforts of the heads of state of Azerbaijan and Hungary, the relations of the two countries have risen to the level of strategic partnership.

The official visit of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to Hungary on January 29 this year, the meetings with the President of Hungary Mrs. Katalin Novak and the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán during the visit, the signing of the Joint Declaration on the expanded strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Hungary, and the signing of a number of other cooperation documents between the two countries it is emphasized that it ensures the rise of relations to the highest level.

It was noted that the activity of the Joint Commission aims to further develop relations in various fields. It was brought to attention that the successful activity of Hungarian companies in Azerbaijan and the interest of Hungarian companies in participating in the construction works carried out in our territories freed from the occupation of Armenia aroused satisfaction.

P. Siyarto expressed his satisfaction with the constant development of his country's relations with Azerbaijan, a strategic partner, and the expansion of these relations over time.
