In connection with the 31st anniversary of the Khojaly genocide, an exhibition of the handicrafts of martyr Major Murad Mammadov and the presentation of the film-performance "Neighbor" prepared by "ASA" theater with the support of the Ministry were held at the DOST Inclusive Development and Creativity Center of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.

The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population Vusal Nasirli, MPs Musa Guliyev, Arzu Nagiyev, head of "ASA" Theater Nihad Gulamzade, representatives of non-governmental organizations, family members, friends, service comrades of martyr Murad Mammadov, members of other martyrs' families, war persons with disabilities and the creative team of the film-performance, etc. participated. The memory of the martyrs was commemorated with a minute of silence.

V. Nasirli said that on the night of February 25-26, 1992, the genocide committed by the Armenian armed forces against the population of Khojaly city of Azerbaijan with the participation of the 366th regiment of the former Soviet army in Khankendi is one of the terrible crimes against humanity. It was noted that during this genocide, 613 people, including children, women, and elderly people, were killed, and 8 families were completely destroyed. 1275 residents were taken hostage, 487 people were seriously injured, and the fate of 150 people is still unknown.

The historical services of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev were noted in the direction of giving a political and legal evaluation of the Khojaly genocide. As a direction of the successful foreign policy of President Ilham Aliyev, the international legal assessment of the Khojaly Genocide in the past period, as well as the works carried out in this field by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation within the framework of the "Justice to Khojaly" campaign of the Foundation's Vice President Leyla Aliyeva, were mentioned. Khojaly genocide has already been recognized in the parliamentary acts of many countries.
