The Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population had a meeting with the delegation headed by the Minister of Family Welfare and Demography of Serbia Mrs. Daria Kisic, who was on a visit to our country.
Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, Co-Chairman of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Serbia Sahil Babayev said that as a result of the efforts of the heads of state of Azerbaijan and Serbia, the relations of the two countries have risen to the level of strategic partnership.
Last year, the trade turnover of Azerbaijan and Serbia increased by 17.9 percent, and the importance of cooperation documents signed in the past period in the upward development of relations was noted. Information was given on the social reforms carried out in our country in recent years, the experience of DOST, which is highly valued at the international level, and the achievements made in the direction of automation of social services.
The state policy conducted in the field of demography and population settlement development in Azerbaijan, the main demographic trends were discussed. The positive demographic situation in our country, where there is a stable growth rate of the population, and the work carried out in the field of population forecasts were brought to attention.
Mrs. D. Kisic expressed her pleasant impressions of her visit to Azerbaijan. He emphasized that Serbia is determined to constantly expand friendly relations and relations with Azerbaijan.
The importance of expanding the legal framework for cooperation between the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Family Welfare and Demography of Serbia was noted at the meeting.
Issues of deepening relations in the field of demography, exchange of best practices in this field, and signing of a cooperation document between the ministries were discussed.
