The first inclusive café in Baku, called “Kaşalata,” has opened its doors

Baku's first inclusive café, “Kaşalata,” has opened its doors, providing job opportunities for individuals with disabilities.

At the opening of the café, the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, Sahil Babayev, the Minister of Youth and Sports, Farid Gayibov, the Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency, Orkhan Mammadov, and representatives from both the public and private sectors were present.

The attendees toured the café's facilities and work environment, extending their congratulations to the individuals with disabilities who were employed there on their new roles.

Minister Sahil Babayev stated that ensuring equal opportunities for vulnerable groups in society and creating inclusive opportunities is one of the priority areas of the social policy being implemented in our country.

Minister also expressed confidence that the “Kaşalata” café will play an important role in the integration of individuals with disabilities into society.

The “Kashalata” café was founded with the initiative of the “Birga va Saglam” Public Union to assist in the employment of young individuals with disabilities in an inclusive setting and to encourage their integration into society.

The café, located at 57 U. Hacıbəyli Street, has provided employment for a total of 20 young people, including 10 individuals with disabilities.

The establishment of the café has been supported by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, KOBIA, SOCAR, Pasha Holding, and Trendyol Azerbaijan.
