The Turkic States Organization is intensively discussing the expansion of cooperation in labor and social protection among its member states

In Ankara, Turkey, a roundtable discussion was held as part of an international conference on the topic of "Social Protection, Labor Life, and Social Services in Turkic States," with the participation of delegations from the labor and social protection institutions of the member states of the Turkic States Organization (TSO).

The aim of the event is to expand cooperation among the member states of the organization in the field of labor and social protection, discuss common challenges in this area, and exchange successful experiences.

The delegation led by Sahil Babayev, the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, currently on a visit to Turkey, paid tribute to the memory of the National Leader by laying wreaths at the statue of Heydar Aliyev in Heydar Aliyev Park in Ankara.

In his speech at the roundtable, S. Babayev noted that the expansion of relations with Turkic countries and the strengthening of the Turkic States Organization are priority directions of our country's foreign policy. He emphasized the historical significance of the Summit of Heads of State held in Shusha on July 5-6 of this year and the signed "Karabakh Declaration" for the development of integration in the Turkic world.

The minister emphasized the importance of developing the labor market and the effectiveness of the social protection system in ensuring a decent standard of living for the population, as well as the significance of exchanging successful experiences in these areas. S. Babayev highlighted the social reforms underway in our country, the successes of the DOST concept, and noted that there has been mutual exchange of information regarding the implementation of the DOST model in brotherly Uzbekistan.

He noted the significant increases in social payments resulting from the four social reform packages implemented in Azerbaijan since 2019, the coverage of vulnerable groups by social services, and the automation of social services. He also highlighted the proactive appointment mechanisms established in our country, the innovative advantages of the e-social internet portal, and the "Labor and Employment" e-system.

S. Babayev stated that the expansion of economic cooperation between our countries is closely linked to the free movement of labor resources, highlighting that Azerbaijan has signed bilateral agreements with several Turkic-speaking states in the field of labor migration. The minister emphasized our interest in exchanging positive experiences and stated that this meeting would make a significant contribution to strengthening the labor and social protection systems of the member states of the Turkic States Organization and expanding cooperation in these areas.

During the event, the expansion of cooperation in labor and social protection among member countries was discussed, along with common challenges in this field, and experiences were exchanged.
