A video conference meeting was held between Sahil Babayev, the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Azerbaijan, and Mansurbek Olloyerov, the Director of the National Social Protection Agency under the President of Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, the long-standing traditional friendship and brotherhood ties between the two peoples, who share common history, roots, religion, and culture, were highlighted. It was noted that, thanks to the efforts of the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, the relations between the two countries have entered a new phase of development. The strategic importance of the "Agreement on the Establishment of the Supreme Intergovernmental Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Uzbekistan," signed by Presidents Ilham Aliyev and Shavkat Mirziyoyev in August 2023, was emphasized in terms of the dynamic development of strategic partnership.
Successful cooperation between the two countries in the fields of labor, employment, and social protection was also noted. The implementation of the DOST concept and the automation of social services in Azerbaijan as part of the country’s recent social reforms was discussed, including the ongoing work to apply these practices in Uzbekistan. The importance of the continuous exchange of experiences between the representatives of the Ministry and the Agency during their meetings was highlighted.
Furthermore, the potential for future collaboration between Azerbaijan’s DOST Inclusive Development and Creativity Center and Uzbekistan's "International Inclusive HUB" professional inclusive education center was discussed.
The results of the work done in the development of bilateral relations and the expansion of cooperation in new directions were also reviewed.
