
A meeting was held at the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population with Ahmed Metani, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Palestine to Azerbaijan.
Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Anar Aliyev noted that the peoples of Azerbaijan and Palestine share historical, religious, cultural, and friendly ties, and emphasized the presence of mutual support and solidarity between the two countries.
During the meeting, the importance of the Labour Centre of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, located in Baku, was underlined in expanding cooperation among member states and facilitating experience exchange in the fields of labor, employment, and social protection.
Information was provided on the reforms and achievements carried out in Azerbaijan’s labor sector in recent years. It was mentioned that there is considerable potential for the development of cooperation between the two countries and for active exchange of experience and information in this area.
Ahmed Metani expressed that friendly and solidary relations exist and are continuously developing between Palestine and Azerbaijan, and noted his country’s interest in expanding cooperation in the field of labor. The meeting concluded with an exchange of views on future cooperation in the mentioned areas.
