
The final event of the “PeşəFest-2025” project, implemented by the State Employment Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan, was held in Baku.
The event, organized at Baku Crystal Hall under the slogan “Learn a profession — build your future!”, aimed to support young people and students in choosing a profession and help them take the right steps toward their career development.
The event was attended by Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Anar Aliyev, Chairperson of the Board of the State Examination Center Maleyka Abbaszade, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Labor and Social Policy Musa Guliyev, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Indira Hajiyeva, Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication Vusal Gasimli, Chairman of the Board of the State Employment Agency Sadig Aliyev, as well as heads of educational institutions, teenagers, and young people.
Anar Aliyev noted that the “Festival of Professions”, held since 2022, aims to help young people make the right career choices and enter the labor market in a prepared manner. The Minister stated that over 160,000 young people have participated in these events, gaining practical knowledge about labor market requirements, essential skills, and career opportunities across various professions.
He emphasized that the strong social policy implemented under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev serves to ensure citizens’ well-being, and that the development of human capital is one of its key priorities. He added that through “PeşəFest,” young participants gain opportunities to learn about current labor market trends, communicate directly with professionals from different fields, and plan their future careers.
It was highlighted that in the first nine months of this year, the State Employment Agency provided active employment support to 371,000 individuals. Work is being carried out to increase the competitiveness of the workforce, with more than 1,500 occupational and qualification standards developed and made available to employers. The efforts to ensure employment for residents relocated to the liberated territories were also noted, with 6,108 economically active persons already employed.
Other speakers stressed the importance of proper career choice for young people and underlined the significant role of “PeşəFest” in this regard. They noted that this interactive project helps young people gain practical knowledge about the demands of the modern labor market, necessary skills, and career opportunities, while also allowing them to discover their interests and talents.
Later, professionals delivered presentations related to their respective fields, provided information about the characteristics of their professions, and shared advice on career choices. The festival continued with musical performances and engaging quizzes among participants.
It should be noted that the “PeşəFest-2025” project began last month in Astara, and was later held in Bilasuvar, Tovuz, Goygol, Agdam, Imishli, Agsu, Agdash, Gabala, and Khachmaz districts.
In total, the events organized across 10 regions and the capital city, Baku, attracted around 80,000 participants.
The festival featured educational activities on 14 professions, including cybersecurity, data analytics, helpdesk, 3D animation, jewelry design, tourism management, carpentry, automotive repair, food engineering, confectionery, rescue operations, barista, dental technician, and veterinary science.
Participants gained valuable information about career development paths in these fields, the skills required, and specialization opportunities, as well as the chance to communicate directly with professionals.
