The DOST Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population has implemented the project “Volunteer Champions–2: The Victory Stitch” in Shusha, dedicated to the 5th anniversary of Azerbaijan’s historic Victory in the 44-day Patriotic War.

The project, carried out with the support of the Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum, was implemented as a continuation of last year’s “Volunteer Champions” program.

The event began with a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs.

Chairman of the Board of the DOST Agency Farid Mammadov emphasized that the historic Victory achieved by the Azerbaijani Army under the leadership of President, Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, remains an eternal source of pride for our people. It was noted that the Ministry consistently implements extensive social support measures for participants of the Patriotic War, families of martyrs, wounded veterans, and war veterans.

Information was provided about the DOST services offered to citizens belonging to these categories, as well as the social support programs carried out for them.

War veterans shared their combat memories with the event participants, including DOST volunteers, and answered their questions. As part of the program, a tour of Shusha city was also organized for the participants.

Symbolically, the final knots of the Karabakh carpet were woven precisely by the participants of the Patriotic War.
