A training session on “Ensuring the Right to Access Information” was held at the DOST Agency

A training session on “Ensuring the Right to Access Information” was organized for employees of the DOST Agency. The training was held at the initiative of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

During the event, staff members of the Ombudsman’s Office provided detailed information on the requirements of international and national legislation in the field of the right to access information. Participants were also informed about the Commissioner’s supervisory functions regarding the fulfillment of obligations arising from the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Access to Information” by information holders. The Ombudsman’s authority to draw up protocols in cases of legal violations was also explained.

The training, which had an interactive format, featured extensive discussions. Participants’ questions on the mechanisms of implementing the law and other related topics were answered.
