Accessibility of Transportation for Persons with Disabilities Discussed at the DOST Agency

Within the framework of state monitoring on the rights of persons with disabilities, another meeting was held at the DOST Agency. The event, focused on “Transportation Accessibility,” was attended by members of the State Monitoring Commission, representatives of the Azerbaijan Agency for Land Transport (AYNA), Baku Metro OJSC, Azerbaijan Railways OJSC, Azerbaijan Airlines OJSC, as well as transportation experts.

During the meeting, information was presented on the activities of the Commission and the work carried out. Discussions were then held on the accessibility of public transport for persons with disabilities in urban and intercity transportation, metro, rail, and air transport, as well as on the possibilities of using transport vehicles and the existing challenges.

Participants shared their opinions and recommendations on the matters discussed.
