A meeting was held at the Ministry with the UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan

A meeting was held at the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population in connection with the completion of the diplomatic mission of the UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan, Vladanka Andreyeva.

Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Population, Anar Aliyev, emphasized the special importance of Azerbaijan’s close and continuous partnership with the UN. He expressed gratitude to Vladanka Andreyeva for her valuable contribution to the development of this cooperation during her tenure in the country.

Vladanka Andreyeva noted her satisfaction with the ongoing development of cooperation between the Ministry and UN agencies in Azerbaijan, particularly in the process of implementing social reforms and providing support to socially vulnerable groups.

The importance of the 2026–2030 Framework Document for Cooperation on Sustainable Development, signed between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the UN, was also highlighted during the meeting.

Within the framework of this document, participants discussed the Ministry’s joint work in various areas, particularly in human capital development, promotion of decent work conditions, and strengthening the social protection system.
