A new deputy minister has been appointed to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population

By decree of President Ilham Aliyev, Zaur Rafik Aliyev has been appointed Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.

Zaur Aliyev was born in 1981.

He received his education at Cambridge Regional College (United Kingdom) from 1997 to 2000, and his higher education in accounting and finance at the University of East Anglia (United Kingdom) from 2000 to 2003.

From 2003 to 2009, he worked in the offices of Ernst & Young in Almaty, Baku, and London. From 2010 to 2015, he held various positions at PASHA Holding LLC and PASHA Insurance OJSC. Since 2015, he has served as the Director of the State Agency for Mandatory Health Insurance.

Prior to his current appointment, he served as the Chairman of the Board of the State Agency for Mandatory Health Insurance.

On January 18, 2025, he was re-elected as President of the Azerbaijan Swimming Federation for another four-year term.
