The Order will cover approximately 2,000 individuals in total.
The new Presidential Order of Ilham Aliyev “On the provision of one-time financial assistance to persons who participated in the Second World War of 1941–1945, widows of fallen or later deceased soldiers, and persons awarded orders and medals for their selfless work on the home front” reflects the state’s continued high level of care and attention to these categories of citizens.
According to the Order, on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Second World War, one-time financial assistance in the amount of 2,750 manats will be paid to war participants.
Widows of fallen or later deceased soldiers, persons awarded orders and medals for their selfless work on the home front during the war years, employees of special formations who carried out tasks in the interests of the army and navy within rear-border areas or operational zones of combat fleets, as well as persons awarded medals and badges for the Defense of Leningrad and participants of the Siege of Leningrad, will receive one-time financial assistance in the amount of 1,500 manats.
The Order is expected to cover approximately 2,000 people, including 13 direct World War II veterans.
A total of 3 million manats has been allocated from the Reserve Fund of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, предусмотрed in the 2026 state budget, to finance these payments.
The one-time financial assistance will be transferred by the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population to the bank accounts of the veterans and other eligible individuals.
