7 years since the establishment of the DOST Agency and the opening of the first DOST Center

Over the past period, more than 4.4 million citizens have benefited from DOST services, while the citizen satisfaction rate with these services stands at 98.8 percent.

Today marks the 7th anniversary of the launch of DOST services, which ensure a high level of citizen satisfaction. On May 9, 2019, with the participation of President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, the DOST Agency and the Baku DOST Center No. 1 under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population were inaugurated.

The DOST model, initiated by First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva, is one of the major achievements of the social reforms carried out in the country in recent years. It ensures the delivery of 162 public social services across 14 areas through a “one-stop shop” model using modern, efficient, fully transparent mechanisms focused on citizen satisfaction.

To date, 7 DOST Centers, 2 DOST branches and 3 DOST service points have been put into operation. Currently, design, renovation and construction works are underway for the establishment of DOST centers in Nakhchivan, Guba, Sabirabad, Sumgayit, Ganja and Masalli, as well as DOST branches in several other regions. It is planned to ensure nationwide coverage of the DOST network by 2030.

The activities of the DOST Agency are also highly appreciated internationally. Over the years, the Agency has received more than 60 international awards, including over 10 “Best Practice for Europe” awards.

The “Volunteer DOST” program, which plays an important role in expanding the volunteer movement, has involved nearly 8,000 volunteers during this period. Along with contributing to the delivery of public social services based on the principle of citizen satisfaction, they have also gained experience, skills and professional competencies in the field of citizen services.
