Minister of Labor and Social Protection Sahil Babayev together with Shirvan Mayor Ilgar Abbasov inspected newly established small enterprises in Shirvan within the self-employment program.

They got acquainted with the activities of enterprises (women's beauty salon, tailor's shop, car wash, flour mill) created by Samira Abbasova, Gulnara Khalilova, Avaza Agayev and Shalala Rzayeva who are from the vulnerable groups of population at the expense of goods and materials provided under the program.

S.Babayev stressed that the purpose of the self-employment program, implemented on the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev, is to support low-income families. It is to enable them to set up family businesses and thus improve their well-being. This year, the self-employment program is being further expanded. This year, work is underway to attract 12,000 families to the self-employment program and provide assets to those whose business plans are positive.

The Minister noted that 182 people, mainly from vulnerable groups, were involved in the program in Shirvan last year. This figure will be higher in 2020, and 152 people have already joined the program this year. Some of them have been given assets. This year, most of those involved in the program are people with disabilities, members of the families of martyrs, IDPs, war veterans, members of low-income, as well as large families, etc. contane.

The participants of the program thanked the President for their great support for entrepreneurship and social welfare. They stressed that they are working hard to develop these small businesses.
