During his visit to the DOST Agency, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Azerbaijan Viktor Szederkenyi was informed about the purpose, functions and working principles of the DOST Centers. Farid Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of the Agency for Sustainable and Operational Social Provision under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, expressed the gratitude to the ambassador for Hungary's support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan in the Karabakh conflict. Ambassador Viktor Szederkenyi said that Hungary unequivocally supports the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and attaches great importance to friendly relations with our country. He also said that during the visit of Minister of Labor and Social Protection Sahil Babayev to Hungary earlier this year, the prospects for cooperation between the two countries in the field of labor, employment and social protection were discussed and could benefit both sides. He said that in addition to being a front office of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, which provides services to citizens, DOST Agency is constantly improving in this area, acting as a producer of new ideas and projects. In this regard, the parties discussed the possibility of cooperation and technical possibilities.
The meeting included online trainings to familiarize the Azerbaijani population with Hungarian culture and life, coordination of trainings with "Culinary" lessons planned within the "Active Aging" project between the DOST Agency and UNFPA, and an awareness campaign dedicated to Hungary's Independence Day. The issues of distribution of national sweets in hygienically safe packaging to citizens benefiting from the services at DOST centers were also discussed.
They also exchanged views on trainings for DOST Agency's social agents, monitoring specialists and volunteers in various functional areas and the "Digital Maps" project.
