Joint social projects with the European Union were discussed

Azerbaijan and the European Union (EU) have a history of active cooperation in many areas, including social projects.

This was stated by Minister of Labor and Social Protection Sahil Babayev at a farewell meeting online with Kestutis Jankauskas, the head of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan.

Emphasizing that Azerbaijan gives special importance to close and sustainable partnership with the EU, the Minister noted that in accordance with the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev, large-scale reforms have been carried out in the fields of labor, employment and social protection. He noted the active cooperation with the EU in the process of these reforms. He stressed the importance of the EU's TACIS, Twinning projects, as well as cooperation with the European Training Foundation in social reforms and the improvement of the social protection system.

Noting that relations between Azerbaijan and the EU have been successfully developing during Yankauskas's activity in our country, Babayev thanked him for his contribution in this field.

Yankauskas stressed that he had good impressions of our country and people during his activity in Azerbaijan. He expressed satisfaction with the development of cooperation in the social sphere.
