On behalf of President Ilham Aliyev, housing documents were presented to the families of journalists killed in Kalbajar

July 22 - On National Press Day, President Ilham Aliyev presented apartments to the families of two martyred journalists - AzerTaj employee Ibrahimov Maharram Ali oglu and AzTV operator Abishov Siraj Abish oglu.

Minister of Labor and Social Protection Sahil Babayev visited the families of the martyred journalists and presented the documents of the apartments, as well as the martyr's family card and social payment cards assigned to them.

The Minister said that by the Order of President Ilham Aliyev dated June 14, 2021, both martyred journalists were awarded the 3rd degree "For Service to the Fatherland" order. Today, on the instructions of the President, the documents of apartments in residential complexes located close to the area where our martyrs live (in Sumgayit and Khojasan settlement of Baku) are submitted. At the same time, M.Ibrahimov and S.Abishov were given the status of martyrs and their family members were assigned social benefits for the families of martyrs.

It was stressed at the meeting that all this is another manifestation of Mr. President's special care for the families of martyrs, as well as his constant appreciation of the work and dedication of the media, who performed their duties with dignity.

Family members of the martyred journalists expressed their gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for the high level of care and new housing.

It should be noted that M.Ibrahimov and S.Abishov, who were filming the liberated territories, were killed on June 4 by an anti-tank mine as a result of Armenian provocation in the village of Susuzlug, Kalbajar region.
