The "Forum of European Social Network Members 2021" was held in Brussels, Belgium. The forum was also attended by Narmin Mirzayeva, Director of the Human Resources Management and Training Department of the DOST Agency.
The purpose of the forum was to discuss the strategy of the European Social Network for the next 4 years (2022-2025), guided by current and future challenges in areas such as social services, education, health, employment and housing. The forum also aims to strengthen the network and expand cooperation between members.
Representatives of the European Commission, the European Social Network, Belgium, Spain and Croatia spoke at the event and shared their experiences, research, recommendations and suggestions on the pandemic. The unforeseen difficulties created by the COVID-19 pandemic, the need for new types of social services and the need to adapt public social services to these needs were also highlighted.
The mission, main goals and implementation mechanism of the strategy for the next 4 years were conveyed to the Forum participants, and the main strategic directions, cooperation and communication between the members were widely discussed. The Forum participants were informed about the reforms carried out in the field of public social services in our country, the measures taken to adapt social security and services to the pandemic period, the improvement of digitalization and virtualization.
It should be noted that DOST Agency has been a member of the European Social Network since March 2021 and won two places in the nominations "Technological Tools" and "Magnificent Staff" among the finalists of the Network's "European Social Services Award - 2021". The competition is currently underway and the winners will be announced on December 3.
