The "Support for Disabled Entrepreneurs" project has been launched

A new project - "Support for Disabled Entrepreneurs" has been launched to integrate people with disabilities and vulnerable social groups into society and promote social entrepreneurship.

The project will be implemented jointly by the State Employment Agency and DOST Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA), Azersu OJSC, Baku Engineering University, FORIELLA LLC and the Disabled Entrepreneurs Organization PU.
On December 3, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the project "Support for Disabled Entrepreneurs" was presented to the public. The event was attended by representatives of relevant government agencies, people with disabilities and entrepreneurs.

Mustafa Abbasbayli, Chairman of the Board of the State Employment Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population, Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of SMBDA, Musa Guliyev, Chairman of the Labor and Social Policy Committee of the Milli Majlis and Mirza Mammadvaliyev, Chairman of the Disabled Entrepreneurs Organization They noted that the integration of people belonging to limited and vulnerable social groups into society, increasing their business-oriented knowledge and skills, development of social entrepreneurship, support for new business initiatives.

Then, a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the "Support to Disabled Entrepreneurs" project was signed between the State Employment Agency, the Sustainable Operative Social Provision Agency, SMBDA, Azersu OJSC, Baku Engineering University, FORIELLA LLC and the Disabled Entrepreneurs Organization. The event also thanked a group of entrepreneurs who supported the employment of vulnerable people, and answered questions from participants.

Under the project, people with disabilities and interested in entrepreneurship will gain professional knowledge in the fields of carpet weaving, tailoring, director of photography, repair of household and electronic equipment. For this purpose, the project partners will provide vocational training for participants, business plan development, consulting services in the field of business management and development. Those who successfully complete the training will be provided with appropriate equipment by the State Employment Agency within the self-employment program.
